Based out of Columbus, Ohio, Conlin SpeedSports is entering its ninth year of karting in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Michigan. For 2009 we will be working with customers in the Mid State Ohio Kart Club series at Circleville Raceway Park, the Great Lakes Pro Series at tracks like New Castle Motorsports Park, Concept Haulers Motor Speedway and Michiana Raceway Park and selected street races around the Midwest.
Whether you're a seasoned pro, a new racer looking for a shorter learning curve or just a motorsports fan looking to experience true high performance karting, we have a program for you. Come under our tent and allow to us take care of the event details while you focus on the important part - THE DRIVING. In 2008 karts prepared and maintained by our team did not have a single mechanical DNF in over 40 green flags. We take track time very seriously and we'll do everything in our power to maximize yours.
Arrive & Drives
If you're a racer that prefers not to make a significant investment in the kart, engine and support equipment to do your karting properly, we can put you in the driver's seat for private practice, open practice, a race day, a race weekend or a race series. You bring your race gear and your competitive attitude and we'll do the rest. We'll provide the crew, professionally prepared competitive karts, fuel, tires, spares and support equipment to either Circleville Raceway Park or New Castle Motorsports Park for one comprehensive fee. If your interest is in running a traveling series like Great Lakes Pro Series, your kart will be waiting for you on Friday morning and ready to go each time your class is called. We can even arrange a professional tuner and a driving coach to ensure you reach your potential and make the statement you want. Email us for all the details.
Race Preparation & Maintenance
For our customers that own their own kart/engine package but don't have the time or the desire to do the 5 or 6 hours of maintenance and preparation between race days, we can provide the expertise and attention to detail to be sure you spend your time on the track not in the pits. We prepare our customer karts to the same level as we prepare our own karts. The same level of preparation that has allowed us to finish the last 3 RoboPong 200 mile endurance races at New Castle Motorsports Park and go an entire season without a mechanical DNF. After each day or weekend of racing or practice we will thoroughly clean and inspect your kart, strictly follow our time-proven checklists and make recommendations on replacing parts that show wear and otherwise stand to jeopardize the success of your next outing.
Trackside Services
If you're serious about your on-track performance you may want to out-source the off-track performance to us. Pitting under our tent means you have access to our tools, computers, inventory, driver comforts, set up advice and perhaps most importantly, have us turn the wrenches to be sure the kart is ready while you make sure that YOU are ready for the next session. Analyze your data, re-hydrate, rest and focus on the next session and we'll make the changes you request, inspect your kart's condition and repair any damage we find.
For customers determined to get the absolute best results possible we can also provide a professional tuner to work with them to apply the black magic to changing track conditions. A dedicated driver coach can also be assigned to help the driver find tenths from the outside.
The Karting Experience
If you've ever wondered what it is like to drive those high performance racing karts your racing heroes learned their craft in, we have a way for you to find out. Our Karting Experience is designed to introduce you to the sport of karting and give you an taste of the power and performance of today's racing karts. Over the course of about 5 hours we will step you through a sensible progression that best matches your capabilities and goals. You'll work with one of our team drivers and start in a lower powered (but still impressively fast) kart and progress to a faster kart when you're ready. Karting Experience participants with some prior racing history may skip the first phase kart after providing proper accreditation.

On-Board Video Service
Want to show 'em what its really like out there? Anticipating a close race you'll want to keep? Looking to review your performance at a particular track? We can set you up with a helmet cam that will capture one race, two races or an entire day. We can burn the raw .avi files onto a CD for you to take home with you the same day. Or, we can edit and clean up the raw files and deliver an audience-ready .wmv movie. See a sample here - be patient, we've maintained the quality so it's a fairly big file.
