About Conlin SpeedSports, LLC and Adrenaline Fix Karting
Having raced snowmobiles and sports cars from the age of 13 to 26, Jim Conlin, along with his three daughters, looked to return to motorsports as a family racing team and formed Conlin SpeedSports in 1999. During the team’s rookie season, Jim was the sole driver with daughters Dana and Tracy putting in practice laps as often as time allowed. When the Conlin sisters’ began competing in local and regional races, Jim decided to step out of the driver’s seat and focus his attention on his daughters’ driving skills. The duo quickly moved up the karting ladder beginning in the four-cycle Briggs class and up through Yamaha and Komet Piston Port (HPV) classes and eventually to the popular TaG class.
The team’s participation in the TaG class would have them become involved in the Robopong 200 – a four hour annual endurance race attended by pro racers and karting’s finest. Having raced in five of the six Robopong 200 races and several other endurance races, the team learned how to build karts for reliability – not only for speed.
As Dana and Tracy focused more of their attention on their careers outside of racing, Jim expanded the team and formed Adrenaline Fix Karting (AFK) – a trackside services and Arrive & Drive program. 2010 will see AFK extend to include PCR racing karts sales, service & leasing to its line-up of top quality services.© Copyright 2010 Conlin SpeedSports, LLC.
