Arrive & Drives
If you're a racer that prefers not to make a significant investment to do your karting properly, we can put you in the driver's seat for private practice, open practice, a race day, a race weekend or a race series. You bring your race gear and your competitive attitude and we'll do the rest.
We'll provide a professional crew in both attitude and appearance, professionally prepared competitive karts, fuel, tires, spares and support equipment for one comprehensive fee. Whether a one day race at a local track or a full weekend at a divisional or national event your kart will be waiting for you and ready to go each time your class is called. All the while you'll enjoy the driver comforts only found in the "Adrenaline Lounge." We serve Circleville Raceway Park, New Castle Motorsports Park (New Castle, IN), Michiana Raceway Park (South Bend, IN) and BeaveRun Motorsports Complex (Wampum, PA) as well as WKA National and Divisionals.
Why arrive & drive?
If your passion is driving and competing and not necessarily turning wrenches, we're the perfect solution. After each on track session our professional crew will debrief with you on how the session went and discuss what changes are needed to make the next session better. We'll set off on making the changes that were agreed upon and thoroughly inspect your kart while you review data, rest, re-hydrate and focus on the next green flag.
For customers who might enjoy working on their karts if they had more time during the week, our arrive & drive option takes care of that. Our experienced staff services our karts to the highest standards with emphasis on safety, reliability and speed. That allows you to take care of life's demands and arrive at the track knowing that your kart has been prepped for a full day of hard racing.
Our arrive & drive packages are also perfect for new kart racers eager to see what they can do out there. It can take years to master kart set-up & maintenance and by tapping into our years of karting experience you can flatten your learning curve dramatically. With a reliable and well tuned kart you have your best chance to perfect your driving and work your way to the front. We can even arrange a professional driving coach to ensure you reach your potential and make the statement you want!
What can you expect?
Our arrive and drive programs offer competitive packages with full support for open or private practice days and racedays. The kart is prepped for each session by our crew and tuned for track conditions and your driving style. When possible we like to meet with our driver several days prior to a track event to fit the kart to the driver. At the track we work with you on set up and refer to our own experience with changing track conditions to find the right balance and provide the best driving experience we can give you.
At the track we work out of a fully powered 28' trailer with 400 square feet of outside shelter for crew and driver comfort. The trailer is stocked with replacement parts to recover from any mechanical problem or crash. Trailer computer has internet access. Data acquisition on the karts give us the ability analyze crucial engine information following a session and display this information on a large flat panel screen in the trailer as well as print out your lap times for the day. Or if you prefer, we can email the data file to you for your own private analysis. In most cases you will have a mechanic dedicated to your effort. Our "Adrenaline Lounge" features driver comforts to keep you warm, cool or dry and help you recover for your next session or race.
Fees include everything involved to put you on the track and keep you out there. Tires, fuel, spares and everything else is included. All the driver is responsible for is his/her pit passes, race/practice entry fee and any on-track crash damage (full terms and guidelines are available for download here). In the event of a wet race there is an additional $75 clean-up fee.
Race days provide you exclusive use of the kart for all official track sessions for your class(es) that day and full access to our crew and team equipment for the event. Tests days generally involve 6 to 8 ten lap sessions throughout the day with the attention of our dedicated crew and full use of team facilities. Half test days generally provide 3 to 4 ten lap sessions with the same compliment of support.
For 2010 we will have karts available in three different power configurations.
Our TaG ("Touch and Go") program offers 125cc, 28hp powered 2006 Biesse B3 reaching speeds of 65+ mph at Circleville Raceway Park and 75+ mph at New Castle. TaG is currently the fastest-growing category in North American kart racing and is the premier class at WKA Nationals. The only karts that outperform this kart formula is the 125cc shifter karts.
Our Yamaha "Super Can" kart is 2006 Biesse B3 with the widely used Yamaha KT100 100cc engine. Making only 12hp, it is very effective for training smoothness and conservation of momentum because it is at the low end of the racing kart performance spectrum. In fact, many organizations have a Super Can Novice class specifically for beginning racers. Having said that, it is important to understand that the Super Can kart will far out-perform any concession karts you may have experienced at amusement parks or even indoor karting centers. The class nearly always has a big entry list and provides some of the best racing action of the day because the engines are so evenly matched. Wheel to wheel racing is almost guaranteed.
We will also have a 4-cycle "trainer" kart available for customers looking for an absolute entry-level racing (currently only NCMP) experience or for a high performance kart as an affordable race fitness-building vehicle. Utilizing a lower powered (10hp) but extremely reliable engine bolted to a full race kart, it provides the same cornering demands and thrills of our other offerings but with acceleration a few ticks off the Super Can. This option is designed to be an inexpensive way for the curious to try karting and the serious to get laps in. The trainer kart as priced below is only available when team is at a track for other services/activities. Trainer arrive & drives requiring a special trip to a track will incur separate transportation and support fees.
Rates below are quoted for single-client outings. Rates are often lower when multiple clients attend the same event and travel expenses can be shared. Discounts apply for multiple event days.
