PRD Technical Documents

In working with the PRD Fireball the past couple of years, we've gone through all the teething problems and have done a fair amount of development work with Bill Willis of POWERsports. We've had to figure a lot of this out ourselves because there were not too many other teams seriously campaigning them. We're sharing what we've learned here in the hopes that other PRD owners don't have to go through the same frustrations.

PRD Engine Manual is a good starting place for new owners.

PRD Ignition Setting document illustrates proper ignition timing setting. Some early PRDs were delivered with less advance (1.8). This document shows how to set it to 2.2 BTDC.

PRD Homologation Papers are the manufacturer's specifications as submitted to governing organizations like TaGUSA. We expect them to be posted to TaGUSA's web site soon.

We've prepared photos of the Horstman FX-100 clutch, the replacement for the PRD shoe clutch for PRD owners that would like to see the internals before they purchase on for them selves.

We've also prepared an installation tips document based on what we felt were concerns when installing the Horstman FX-100 clutch.
