13-15 July - Home Track Advantage
While continuing back problems sidelined Dana and made Conlin SpeedSports a one kart team for the 7th & 8th rounds of the 2007 Bridgestone Great Lakes Superkarts! USA Pro Tour at Circleville Raceway Park, Tracy used the home track advantage on Saturday to post our best results of the season on Saturday finishing 4th in the 15 kart-strong Pre-Final. On Sunday the "Sleep-On-It" factor erased some of that home track advantage making the non-regulars faster. A raceday high of sixth was the best Tracy could manage but it was a confidence and morale building weekend with some decent points to boot. CSS-supported driver Eric Creech also exploited his knowledge of CRP by finishing 3rd in Saturday's final and a last-to-6th place run in Sunday's Final after a Pre-Final DNS. More...
08 July - More Crashing, More Broken Stuff, Vortex Abuse... Good Warm Up For SKUSA
We used the Mid State Of Ohio Kart Club race as a sort of test session for the 2007 Bridgestone Great Lakes Superkarts! USA Pro Tour stop at Circleville Raceway Park the following week. Among other things we tried a radically different set up on Tracy's kart and were disappointed in the results in the conditions we had. Both ladies were on the SKUSA spec'd Bridgestones which are harder (and less grippy) than the MSOKC Vega Nord Ams and this contributed to a nasty accident involving them both and series point leader Jason Stukey. 05 July - Ekartingnews.com Driver Rankings
Despite our problems at Norway Tracy and Dana still climbed the Ekartingnews.com Driver Rankings for June which, through a formula similar to those used in Quantum Physics to explain cosmic worm holes, rates drivers across the country. Over 300 drivers have qualified for the TaG list so far this year and our drivers rank 61st (Tracy) and 63rd (Dana). Nothing that is going to have Roger Penske calling next week but it is fun to see where our efforts put us and to say we're the 61st and 63rd best TaG drivers in the country. A good showing at Circleville Raceway Park (our home track) could move Tracy further up the list.
