10 December - CSS Ladies Model For BTWRA
Check out the girls and shirts at the BTWRA website
Behind The Wall Racing Apparel is featuring Dana, Tracy and Julie as models on their web site that just so happens to be offering great looking T-shirts and hoodies with our team's slogan, "Less Testosterone More Determination" emblazoned on them. The sisters pose together displaying several combinations of T-shirt colors and Dana poses alone in the hoodie. See the pictures at the BTWRA web site.
While you're there, consider who on your Christmas list is a dynamic, feisty female that's not afraid to compete with the good ol' boys on their terms. Sports, arts, business, whatever. Let her show 'em what she's made of. Great stocking stuffers, with plenty time left before the big day to get them under the tree.
02 December - As Seen On TV (for about a second and a half)
Lingner Group covered the race for SpeedTV
We got the TV crew's attention but Tracy's wreck ended up on the cutting room floor. Photo by Jim Brickley
Our drivers were featured in the intro segment to SpeedTV's broadcast of "Dream To Zoom" based on the Mazda RoboPong 200 presented by Bridgestone. A nice one- to two-second shot panned up from our kart's number panel to Tracy, Lynsey and Dana standing together and suited up for the start of the race but that turned out to be the extent of our presence in the production. Julie was also seen in one of the opening shots in her Behind The Wall Racing Apparel "Less Testosterone More Determination" hoodie and other glimpses were had of our team members and kart in the balance of the coverage but they were fleeting at best.
Rather than a report on the race itself, the production focused on just three drivers, Conor Daly, Josef Newgarden (family owns RoboPong ping-pong robot company) and Brent Smrz because of their backgrounds and personal challenges as aspiring racing drivers with mentions of the top three teams of the 70 teams that started. Overall a very, very well produced program, good for NCMP and the 200 mile event and very good for karting in general. Many kudos go to the Dismore family and to the Lingner Group Productions, Inc., for the positive, professional exposure of the sport of karting to the masses.
But you'd think if you've made the effort to have a huge accident right in front of their cameras, the polite thing for them to do would be to include it in the final cut. See if we do that again.
1 December - Last Two RoboPong 200 Galleries
Mazda RoboPong 200 Pics
About 60 RoboPong 200 photos came flooding in over the last month and we've got two new galleries displaying them. Behind The Scenes at the Mazda RoboPong 200 are all taken around our paddock space, on the grid and in the pits during the Mazda RoboPong 200 weekend. Barbie Mees' brother-in-law, Jay Harris, snapped a lot of images capturing the tension as well as the fun of being a crew at this race. New Castle Motorsports Park track photographer David Lee's pictures make up our On The Track at the Mazda RoboPong 200 gallery with some stunning photos our our karts and drivers at speed - and suddenly not at speed. We hope you enjoy the images.
