Meet

What happens when little girls are allowed to play with racecars in addition to their Cabbage Patch dolls? You get bright young women who know more about racing than the average fan - male or female. And then one day one of them suggests the family start its own team and you find yourself go kart racing.

Dana only started racing when she was 17 years old, a late-starter by karting standards. But once she was behind the wheel she demonstrated great speed right away and has been getting faster ever since.
After two years in the very competitive Mid State Ohio Kart Club 4-cycle classes, Dana moved into the quicker 2-cycle categories and continued to develop her racing skills. She won the MSOKC HPV Class championships in 2003 and 2004. In December of '04 Dana participated in the invitational Lyn St. James Foundation Driver Development Program acquiring training in media relations, mental preparation and physical conditioning to enhance her career in motorsports.
In 2005 Dana moved up to the new TaG 125cc class winning her first race finishing second in the MSOKC championship. 2006 saw her move up to the Great Lakes SKUSA TaG Senior regional championship finishing 4th. The move TaG racing also gave Dana her first taste of endurance racing teaming with her sister and friend Lynsey Tilton in the 2005 and 2006 TaG 200 Mile race at New Castle Motorsports Park.
Between races Dana works as an Assistant Teacher at a Dublin pre-school. She currently attends Columbus State Community College working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree and looks to someday open her own pre-school. In what little spare time she has left, Dana enjoys music, movies and activities with a wide circle of friends.

Originally serving as Crew Chief for her sister Dana, Tracy's role on the team changed dramatically in 2003 as she took her turn behind the wheel taking over the team's 4-cycle kart as her sister moved up to 2-cycle. Throughout the season she fought for fourth place in the standings against drivers with far more experience.
In 2004 Tracy joined her sister in the 2-cycle ranks with the team's second Biesse Viper in the Super Can class. Early in the season she established herself as one of the championship contenders and recorded an outstanding season finishing second in the popular and competitive Mid State Ohio Kart Club Super Can class. Tracy moved up the performance ladder again in 2005, taking over the team's HPV entry when her sister moved up to TaG. With very little pre-season testing, Tracy made the most of what she had, recording 4 race wins on the way to a fifth in the MSOKC Spec 100 category.
She also had no trouble adjusting to the additional power and acceleration of the team's TaG entry when, late in '05, she teamed up with her sister for the TaG 200 endurance race at New Castle Motorsports Park. In 2006 she ran the team's second TaG kart in the Great Lakes SKUSA regional series, placing a respectable 3rd in the TaG Senior Championship.
Tracy is enrolled at Mount Carmel College Of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio, pursuing a degree in nursing. She runs regularly for personal fitness and enjoys four-wheeling with her boyfriend as a way to keep fit and reflexes sharp when away from the track. When she finds a little leisure time amid the huge study load the nursing program demands she enjoys video games, concerts, movies, playing with her dog Cosmo and hanging out with her friends.
Julie Conlin - PR, Hospitality, Video, Scoring
Age: 21
Marital Status: Single

On race days, Julie is always in the team's pit area with responsibilities for several key duties. So in tune with what is going on at the track, Julie is often pressed into service as "guide" for our team's visiting VIPs (and all our visitors are VIPs). At major races she's responsible for getting our press kits out to the media and getting our drivers to interviews and personal appearances. Often she keeps the video camera aimed on our karts for video captures to make our web site look great. As a former Mid State Ohio Kart Club pointskeeper, she knows all the drivers and teams - not just the ones we race against - and is our eyes and ears on race day.
Julie also plays an integral role in the team for the TaG 200 mile endurance race at New Castle Motorsport Park. By heading up the team's scoring, she is responsible for tracking the team's position and progress through the race and relaying that information to the team manager for decisions affecting race strategy.
Although she's been known to do a few laps now and then, she's perfectly happy letting her sisters do the racing.
Julie is an accomplished pianist having studied for 10 years. She was awarded the President's Scholarship to Ashland University near Mansfield, Ohio where she is presently pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Her commitment there has earned her a place on the Dean's List. Julie is determined to someday work for a professional race team.
