20 November - Celebrating Our Season

Dana and Tracy display their 1st and 2nd place awards.

We celebrated our successful racing year with our racing friends at the Foxfire Golf Club on Saturday, November 20. The Mid State Ohio Kart Club 2004 Vega Tyre Championship Awards Banquet saw Dana receive the INFONETICS HPV Championship plaque and jacket for the second year in a row and Tracy receive the 2nd Place plaque for the Hume Performance Products Super Can class.

MSOKC had record setting door prizes, both in number of items and value, and our team made out pretty good - even though we didn't win the brand new 2005 Biesse Kart that was given away at the end of the night. Still a great night for recognition and for socializing with our karting friends one last time before the long winter.

24 October - We Go Out Of '04 With A Bang

After a lackluster performance by the entire team in the two heat races, Dana pulled it all together for us in the Super Can feature of the Mid State Ohio Kart Club non-championship "money race". The 15 lap feature - almost twice a long as usual - saw Dana running a solid third in the 99 kart (Tracy had a commitment at church), and closing just a little on second place... until the engine let go a lap and a half from the checkered flag. It was the final bitter pill in a day that had wild highs and lows. More...

23 October - Tracy & Dana Meet & Greet For The Animals

Lots of racing memorabilia, a live radio broadcast, Quaker Steak & Lube Atomic Wings and a bunch of really great folks made for a fun day in Dayton as Tracy and Dana joined Jeri Unser and her fiancee Scott as "celebrity drivers" supporting the Red Dog Racers Auction raising funds for the Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals (SICSA). The gals also talked on-air with Brian Casey and Lee Riley of NASCARnow, 1410-AM's weekly racing show. Our kart and multimedia karting presentation was on display in the Quaker Steak & Lube foyer. 07 October - Conlin SpeedSports Drivers To Do Personal Appearance & Radio Show

Conlin SpeedSports will be making an appearance at the Quaker Steak & Lube in Beavercreek (near Dayton), Ohio on Saturday, October 23rd in support of the Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals SICSA. Dana and Tracy will be meeting racing enthusiasts and signing autographs prior to SICSA's Red Dog Racers Auction fund raiser. We'll have a kart on display and there is talk of Dana and Tracy doing an on-air radio interview on WING-AM (1410 am) sports radio. The NASCAR Now Show with Brian Casey and Lee Riley airs every Saturday and they will be set up remotely at Quaker Steak & Lube to support the fundraiser.

SICSA, formed in 1974, provides pet adoption, foster care, spay/neuter assistance, dog obedience classes and lost & found registry service for the Miami Valley. We're flattered that Red Dog Racers Auction Coordinator Paula DiGennaro, a dedicated racing enthusiast in her own right, invited us to be involved in this worthy cause.
