Ready For Competition
On the scales
to get weight distribution right, Dana's kart lacks only graphics
After several
minor delays - including one minor delay commonly called "starting over
from scratch" - Dana's McCall Motorsports kart is just about ready for
competition. It's a brand new Coyote chassis enveloped by G-Man bodywork and
rolling on Bridgestone tires. A McCall Motorsports motor will supply top-line
power. Right out of the box it's likely to be quicker than our kart and promises
to put Dana right in the thick of things in Briggs Medium.
In the photos
above Dana is being fitted for final comfort adjustments and the kart's weight
at each corner is being monitored by electronic scales for proper distribution.
This is done with her in it to more closely represent race conditions. This
is another example of the kind of precision required to be competitive in karting.
And you thought go-kart racing was simple!
The kart is
scheduled to debut at our next race, May 13.
